BOKER KNIVES WARRANTY
On this page, we will provide answers to your questions regarding the Boker warranty, repairs, and sharpening of Boker ceramic knives.
Our warranty has been in effect for over 135 years. Any Boker product that is defective in material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced by us at no charge to the customer. Our warranty reads:
"Every Boker product is guaranteed to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the life of the product to the original owner. If this item should fail under normal use, we will repair it or replace it at no charge with an item of equal or better value."
To help you better understand whether your product is covered under warranty, the following items are normally not covered under warranty, although exceptions do exist:
- Blade rusting, particularly on carbon steel blades.
- Blade breakage, especially after more than a year of ownership.
- Handle scales cracking or breaking.
- Any knife that has been converted to perform as an automatic knife is not covered under warranty at any time. Boker USA, Inc. honors the Federal law that prohibits the importation or selling of automatic knives. Boker USA, Inc. does not import or sell any automatic knives.
If you would like to send your Boker knife in for repair work or examination to see if it is covered under warranty, it must be accompanied by your phone number, shipping address (no P.O. boxes, please), e-mail address (if applicable) and $5.00 to cover return shipping and handling (in the form of either a check, money order or Visa or Mastercard number). If we do not have a method of contacting you, we will not be able to proceed with any repair or warranty work. If you do not include shipping charges it will cause significant delays in returning your knife to you. If your repair is covered under our warranty, we will return the $5.00 payment along with your knife. To service you best, please contact the Boker USA Customer Service/Repair Department prior to shipping your knife at 1-800-992-6537 ext. 21.
Our mailing address is:
Boker USA, Inc.
Attn: Repair Dept.
1550 Balsam Street
Lakewood, CO 80214-5917
We do recommend you ship your knife to us via insured U.S. mail or through United Parcel Service so it can be tracked.
BOKER CERAMIC KNIVES
Our ceramic knives are very keen cutting instruments but are not intended for chopping or cutting hard items such as bone, staples, or frozen products and are not recommended for whittling. Please exercise caution when using ceramic bladed knives. Due to their extreme hardness, which is why they do not need to be sharpened as often as a steel blade, they are brittle. Therefore, blade breakage or chipping is not covered under warranty. We do provide a sharpening service, which can get out most small chips in the blade as well as restore your knife to its original edge.
For sharpening, please send your knife, along with your name, address (no P.O. boxes, please), phone number and payment of $15.95 ($9.00 for sharpening and $6.95 for return shipping and handling) to:
Ross Cutlery
Attn: Ceramic Sharpening

THE BUCK 4-EVER WARRANTY
The Buck Knives 4-Ever Warranty is pretty much what it says. A Buck Knife is built to last. But if for some reason, your Buck is defective due to materials or workmanship, you can return it to us for repair. No matter where you bought it.
We will repair your knife, including parts, labor and or replacement with a new knife at our discretion. Keep in mind, repair is not always possible or practical. We will replace your knife with the same or one that is comparable if your knife is no longer available. If you want your old knife back no-matter-what, note that when you send the knife to us.
REPAIRS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY
If your knife needs to be repaired, but doesn't fall under warranty, please send it to us. Don't try to repair it yourself. Self-repair will void your warranty, not to mention causing possible self-injury.
Reasons why repair wouldn't fall under warranty:
- Damage caused by misuse or abuse.
- Failure to care, clean and maintain your knife.
- Damage due to self-repair.
- Knife loss due to shipping to and from the Buck Knives factory.
- Damage due to dismantling or tampering with your Buck knife.
- Sharpening your Buck knife on a grinder.
HOW TO SEND YOUR KNIFE IN FOR REPAIR:
- Tell us who you are and what is wrong with your knife.
Let us know what you think is wrong with your knife. Include your name, address, phone number and email address.
- Wrap your knife securely.
Please put each knife in a sheath or wrap in cardboard to protect it during shipping. Pack it so the point will not cut through the packaging. You will get your sheath or cardboard back upon return.
- Packing up your knife.
We prefer that you pack your knife in a box. A padded envelope may also work if the knife isn't too heavy or bulky. Be sure to put packing around the knife so it sits securely in the package.
- Shipping methods.
We recommend that you insure your package and send it by a certified receipt that can be tracked if necessary. This will help protect you against possibility of loss or damage to your knife. Note that knife loss, including shipping to and from the Buck factory, is not covered under warranty.

COLD STEEL WARRANTY
We stand behind our knives 100%. We subject them to the highest standards in the industry and strive to make each one as perfect as possible. Right now our return rate for defects is one half of one percent! This is remarkably lower than the industry standard. While we are growing in popularity, and producing ever larger quantities of knives, we are determined to never forget that we live or die by a single word, QUALITY.
Our fixed blade sheath knives have a 5 year warranty to the original owner against defects IN materials or workmanship. Our folding knives are likewise warranted for 1 year. If you ever have a warranty problem with one of our knives, please return it with your original receipt and a short note and we will be happy to evaluate the problem and resolve it.
(NOTE: Do not send your knife back by way of the U.S. Post Office. We recommend you send it U.P.S. insured.) Please remember ANY knife can be broken or damaged if subjected to sufficient abuse and that all knives eventually wear out (just like your boots) and must be replaced.

COLUMBIA RIVER KNIFE AND TOOL COMPANY
WARRANTY
This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship. If one of our knives ever breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defect, we'll replace the knife.
This warranty runs as long as you own your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or otherwise transfer the knife to someone else, or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way.
This warranty does not cover breakage or failure due to misuse of the knife. Knives as good as ours rarely break or fail because of a defect. Usually they break or fail from what we call “tool abuse“ using them for unsuitable tasks like prying or pounding. Therefore, blade tip breakage is not
covered by our
warranty. Use of a knife for any purpose other than cutting voids the warranty. So please match the tool to the task, and use your knife only for cutting. The knife will last longer, and you'll be safer too. This warranty does not cover failure of mechanisms due to your failure to properly maintain them.
Also, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
Misuse of your knife can cause serious injury or even death. It can also cause your knife to break or fail and the CRKT limited lifetime warranty will not apply. Failure to properly maintain your knife also may cause its mechanisms to not function properly, which could result in injury to you or damage to the knife. Follow the do's and don'ts which are included in your CRKT knife package and the knife will last longer and you'll be safer too.
THE CRKT ACCESSORY WARRANTY.
CRKT accessories, including deployment systems, and sharpeners have a one year limited warranty against defects in material or manufacturing.

EMERSON KNIVES WARRANTY
KNIVES WARRANTY
EMERSON GUARANTEE POLICY
WARNING!!!
If you purchase an Emerson knife from any other source outside of Emerson Knives direct, please be aware that there are very close counterfeits now on the market. We have gotten several obvious counterfeits sent to us for warranty repair (it figures). If it is a deal too good to be true - it is a fake. PLEASE BUY FROM REPUTABLE DEALERS ONLY!!!
Congratulations on your selection of an Emerson knife. You can be assured that the finest in design technology, materials, and workmanship have been used to insure that your knife will give you long lasting service and use.
Care and Maintenance
Minimal care is all that is required to insure the maximum potential that your knife can provide for you. Clean the knife periodically and lubricate the pivot area with light oil, especially after exposure to salt water or acidic environment.
Your Emerson knife is built to withstand the rigors of extreme use, but it is a knife, not a chisel, screwdriver or hammer, and it is not intended for use as such. This knife is a cutting tool and is not designed for throwing. Do not use it in that capacity.
Guarantee
Your Emerson knife is guaranteed against defects in material and workmanship and has a limited lifetime warranty, to the original owner. This guarantee is void if the knife has been abused beyond normal wear and tear or used beyond what are considered the normal parameters for a folding knife. It is up to the discretion of Emerson Knives whether to repair or replace damaged or defective items, and we reserve the right to replace old or out of date parts with new parts as necessary. For warranty service ship the knife postage paid and insured with $14.00 for return shipping, directly to Emerson Knives.
Implied Warranty
Emerson Knives will not be responsible for careless handling, unsafe use and assumes no responsibility for incidental or consequential damages, with respect to economic loss or injury to property. Some states do not allow the exclusion for limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
Sharpening Recommendations
We recommend that you sharpen your Emerson Knife the old fashioned way, on a bench mounted stone or diamond lap. The chisel ground blades should be sharpened on the beveled side only, and never sharpened on the flat side. You may remove the burr on the flat side by laying the blade flat on the hone and lightly touching the blade keeping it flat on the hone. Finish by stropping both sides on a piece of leather mounted on a hard flat surface. Never use a motorized or power driven sharpening device. It will ruin your blade. We will factory sharpen your knife if you prefer. Just ship, insured, to us with $19.00 U.S. for shipping and sharpening. For payment, if you can send a money order or credit card information we will be able to return your package faster. If you send a personal check we will have to hold shipping the package up to 10 days for the check to clear the bank. More detailed sharpening instructions can be viewed here.
