A collectable knife is one that can and will increase in value over time. These knives are usually of limited editions and designed by the top knife designers; such as David and Brian Yellowhorse, Kit Carson, Kit Rae, Ken Onion and a host of others. Another source for collectable knives can be those old time favorites that are no longer manufactured or have a long tradition.

Most collectable knives will not be used for anything other than being placed on display on a mantle, wall, or display case. There is a deep satisfaction in owning one or several of these knives, and they will typically appreciate in value.
