The original Kalinga, (circa 1969) was a favorite of Al Buck's. With its gorgeous lines and comfortable grip, this knife will do everything and anything you throw its way. In 2007, we updated this classic with a thermoplastic Dynaflex® rubber over-mold and 420HC Stainless steel for the blade and other metal parts.

Long one of the favorite Buck authentic models, the legend of the Kalinga continues, redesigned for today's hunter. The beefy, upswept skinner blade and form-fitting handle is constructed with full-tang for lasting beauty and functional durability. This stunning knife needs to be seen and held to be appreciated. The soul of the Kalinga Pro is the hard steel blade that is as visually impressive as it is functionally superior. Once your eye gets past the sweeping curves and wide body, you notice the deep, curved choil that serves as an additional finger groove for choking up on the grip. Similarly, the blade is thick along the top edge for extended thumb support, and the generously proportioned guard cradles and protects your hand, with or without use of the choil. The handle is contoured and formed to mate with the thick, full tang frame that provides the strength and confidence of a solid length of steel.
